Patten sends her condolences to Jacqui and Nicole, Robertson’s daughters, and says this really shows how compassion is the driving force for this law. She says there are still critics but she hopes they will soon realise the good of the new legislation, especially with Robertson’s case. Patten explains there are proper checks and balances that ensure this law is not misused or abused.
