Wyndham’s fast growing population could be slowed under a policy revealed by a Victorian minor party.
The Reason Party has outlined its policy it says is dedicated to outer suburban liveability, in areas including Werribee.
Leader Fiona Patten met with the Interface Councils, which takes in Melbourne’s outer suburban councils, to talk about the issue.
Ms Patten said research indicated Interface Councils lagged behind the rest of Melbourne when it comes to liveability.
“Residents struggle with access what they need day to day, whether it be local jobs, housing, health and essential services or public transport,” Ms Patten said.
She said the party will make a concentrated effort to make sure government funding will go where it was needed and to ensure outer communities do not fall further behind.
