Georgia Denham, an RMIT student studying fashion styling, is dressing Stephanie for the next three weeks.
Georgia has always had a passion for fashion design, but swapped to styling after being an assistant stylist at Melbourne Spring Fashion Week last year, that made her feel styling was more the direction she wanted to go in.
This garment is all recycled doilies from op shops and pearl buttons that Gerogia borrowed from another garment she had, the outfit was created for a uni project that was meant to show that fashion can be sustainable.
“I wanted to challenge myself, make every part of it sustainable.” She explained when asked how the garment came about.
“I really wanted to show that you can do anything you want with fashion.”
Stephanie really adores Georgia’s garment, as it shows us how simple pieces can tell a story, and fashion truly is what you make it.
Stephanie is wearing this garment just days after the 2017 Met Gala, an event of exquisite gowns that shows that art truly is fashion.
The artistry in Georgia’s garment can be seen in the placement of each doilie, that tells its own story.
